DTI Working Group Begins Drafting EPS And EMC Regulations |

The Department of Trade and Industry’s Bureau
of Product Standards (DTI-BPS) through the FU-RP
Trade Related Technical Assistance (TRTA) Programme,
has established a Working Group (WG) that will
facilitate the transposition process of EU Directives,
particularly on the Electrical Product Safety/Low
Voltage Devices (CPS/LVD) and Electromagnetic
Compatibility (EMC) into Filipino regulations
to enable Philippine products and services to
access the EU market and at the same time, compete
globally.

set the timetable of activities this year for
the conduct of proficiency testing (PT) to evaluate
the technical competence of testing and calibration
laboratories in the country.

Araja Joins TRTA Task Force |

Recently hired as TRTA’s contract and finance assistant
is Ms. Emelita Araja. Emy brings with her 30
years of accounting experience, particularly
in private sector, where she has worked in various
companies as accountant or auditor. Emy will
assist in the preparation of financial statements and
handle accounting tasks, among other duties.
