TRTA CONDUCTS COMMUNICATION PLANNING WORKSHOP

The TRTA Programme Task Force (PTF) conducted a three-day communication planning workshop on 11-13 Jan. 2006 in Clark, Pampanga. The workshop consisted of a lecture-planning exercise and aimed to identify component-specific communication and visibility campaign activities for 2006. The plan was developed along the EU Visibility Guidelines.

The campaign materials expected to be generated from the campaign

are a programme website, newsletters, leaflets, brochures, posters, and other collateral materials. The entry points of the campaign are hook-events using founding anniversaries of component-bureaus, stakeholder celebration for example farmers’ month and fisheries’ month. An inter-bureau cooperation network in tapping respective press pools was also established to provide the TRTA extensive media outlet and visibility.

The workshop also pursued a profiling exercise of audiences to tailor-fit the campaign strategy effectively.

The TRTA programme cuts across a multisectoral audience involving government regulatory personnel, policy-makers, industry players, farmers, and fishermen across the country.
